Meet the Pastor

Pastor Vinny was saved Thanksgiving Day 1971. Jan came to Christ the day after Christmas of the same year.

They were some the original hippies of the 60’s. Partying and surfing were the main activties during that time, while raising their two kids fit in somewhere. Drug use was becoming the norm and bad things began to occur on a frequent basis.

That was about the time when God’s saving grace came to these two wandering hippies. They heard about Rock Church in Kempsville and John and Anne Gimenez. “We thought it was a rock and roll church!” It rocked and rolled alright but not like they imagined. The music was loud and moving, the songs were about God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit. The atmosphere was electric, and the preaching, powerful. The feeling was family and the love was genuine.

Needless to say their lives changed, radically. Two more kids and fast forward to the present, their kids now have kids of their own. They have six grandchildren and four great grands! This is now the fourth church that they have pioneered, as well as circling the globe many times over in world evangelism.

Vinny is a carpenter by trade and has built many-a-home in this fair city of Virginia Beach. When he and Jan and were on the mission field, God gave them the vision of “The Carpenter’s House International”. Of course, Jesus is The Carpenter and we are His house.
